I previously posted about our experience with a cult that came in to disrupt our high school service. The night of this diruption my assistant Andy B. was slated to deliver the talk on the "Weight of Your Words." Prior to beginning the talk two college aged girls began rebuking our program and screaming at our students. This paticular group has not only disrupted the main service at Gateway but is also disrupting other churces in the area. Pray for the Austin area as God is at work in this city.
You will hear Andy praying under his breath and myself on the microphone trying to get them out. You will not hear me tell them after trying to get them out that I am calling 911 but that is indeed when they finally listened and began to leave. You also hear them misquote scripture as it is their belief that they will stand in judgement over us.
After they leave God gives me words to calm the crowd, prayer, then a bit of tactical humor to move forward. Andy then does the talk and God gives him incredible words. WE LOVE STUDENTS and we know you do to so hope this helps. Email me if you have questions.

Brother... it was outside of me and this world.
The thing I love most about this is hearing Andy's calming voice through the chaos that these people inflicted upon the room -- "Lord, I pray that you would grab them..." "Your will be done, Lord..."
Did one of them attempt to grab a microphone, or something of that sort? Less than a minute or so after they begin, one of their voices suddenly sounds louder and you can hear them say "You want to know the truth?" Then it sounds like it was cut, like someone pulled a mic away from them. Either way, that's some pretty crazy stuff.
when they started screaming i grabbed a mic to talk over them... "cool" is me and i'm telling them hey we love you and we need to talk outside... she doesn't grab the mic just screams past me and over me at the students.... mic picks them up cause i'm right there... i then put the mic down and grab my phone so they know i have it and i am going to call 911
Ahh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. I was watching the Uprising stream that night so I saw the whole thing, but since the majority of what was happening was off-stage, all I could see were silhouettes.
The wisdom of the Holy Spirit is evident in this... Way to listen and follow his guidance. What a good example.
